R.N.Z.A.F. NARROWLY DEFEATED

Rosslyn Park defeated the R.N.Z.A.F. Rugby tear; by 16 points to 15. Rosslyn Park scored two goals, a penalty goal, and a try which was converted. R.N.Z.A.F. scored three converted tries. The New Zealanders’ tackling in the first half, was faulty, and they were eight points down at the interval. The New Zealanders began the second half like demons, with a forward rush, and a miskick bv the defenders enabled tho captain, E. Grant, to secure a touchdown in the corner within a few minutes of resumption. A. L. Ellis converted with a grand kick. S. D. Wells scored from the line-out. An unkind bounce on slippery ground caused P. F. Cooper to misjudge a kick ahead, and Ellis scored another try. Ellis again converted, and Rosslyn Park were seven points behind. A penalty goal, twelve minutes from the end reduced the leeway to four ’.joints. A minute later a converted try gave Roslyn Park the lead, to which they clung in an exciting finish.
