YACHTING AT CAIRO
NEW ZEALANDERS DEFEATED. A team from the New Zealand Division in Egypt, including a member of the Greymouth Yacht Club, sailed a match against the Cairo Yacht- Club on December 8, and were narrowly defeated by six points for the two rounds. One of the New Zealand yachts was sailed by Noel Messenger (owner of Vagabond, Greymouth), and J. Nolan, skipper of the Wellington boat in the last New Zealand Idlealong championship. Following were the composition of the teams, boat numbers and final placings in each round: — New Zealand: No. 31, Holmes and Johnstone; No. 27, Elliott and Devlin; No. 8, Nolan and Messenger; No. 18, Evans and Salon, Cairo Yacht Club: No. 15 Minost and Cademenos; No. 13, Brat and Churchman; No. 9 Ennals and Lee; No. 20, Kinmont and Mrs. Kinmont.
