AOTEAROA’S PASSENGERS

AUCKLAND, December 29. Fourteen passengers arrived at Auckland to-day by the Trans-Tas-man Airways’ flying-boat Aotearoa, which made a fair-weather crossing from Sydney under the command of Captain Oscar Garden. Among the passengers was Major-General Sir John Duigan, Chief of the General Staff, who headed the New Zealand delegation to the recent Eastern Group Conference at Delhi. Also on board were three children of one family. » The'passengers were Mrs. H. Begg, Miss M. Begg, Masters M. and D. Begg, Mrs. M. Z. Radley, Miss A. Haes, Miss O. H. Fairhall, MajorGeneral Sir John Duigan, Lieutenant G. Crossley, Messrs J. S. Gill, L. P. Healey, J. Paulie, G. S. Radley, and G. Trippner. \
CLIPPER’S BIG LOAD AUCKLAND, December 28. Carrying 17 passengers, several of whom had arrived by air from Sydney yesterday, the American Clipper of Pan American Airways cleft for San. Francisco at 9.45 a.m. The Clipper also carried ,7221 b. of freight and a quantity of mail. The Trans-Tas-man Airways flying-boat Aotearoa left for Sydney with five passengers, 15001 b. of mail, and 3001 b. of freight.
