INQUEST ADJOURNED.

AUCKLAND, November 7.
; An inquest concerning the death of Mrs. Beatrice Florence Rita Laurie, who was found dead in her home at Belmont yesterday, was opened to-day before the Coroner (Mr. Hunt). Evidence of identification was given by William Henry Wheeler, master plumber, of Takapuna, who said that deceased was his sister. She was 39 years of age. He last, saw her alive at Takapuna, about six weeks ago. ,The proceedings were adjourned, sine die. , The. condition of Francis Leona D. Laurie, who was admitted to hospital yesterday, after being found in a bedroom at the Station Hotel, with his wrist gashed, was reported to-day to be satisfactory. .The condition of Mrs. Annie Josephine Laycock, who is also in hosptial, with her wrist gashed, was at first serious, but improved yesterday afternoon. The improvement has not been maintained to-day.
