WEDDING

MAYNE—HAYDEN. The marriage took place on Saturday afternoon at Holy Trinity Church, Greymouth, of Alice Grace, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. Hayden, Rutherglen, and Richard Seddon, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Mayne, Ngahere. The ceremony was conducted by Archdeacon J. A. Jermyn, and Mrs. Baird was at the organ. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a trained frock of pearltinted srttin, cut on classical lines with high fitting sleeves and finished with tiny buttons. Her veil of satin appliqued tulle was held «in place with a coronet of orange-blossoms, and she carried an armlet of freezias and tulips. The bridesmaid, Miss Phyllis Hayden, sister of the bride, wore a frock of rose embossed satin, in a demure style, carrying out the features of the bridal gown. Her headdress was of pink rose-buds and she carried an armlet of rose tulips. Mr. Alfred Mayne, brother of the bridegroom was best man. On leaving the church, the bride was presented with a silver horseshoe by little Winnie Mayne, niece of the bridegroom. The reception was held at Harker’s Reception Rooms, where the guests were received by the bride’s mother, wearing a white flowered, navy crepe frock and navy coat, with shoulder spray of pink sweet peas. She was assisted by the bridegroom’s mother, who wore a black pin stripe costume, fur stole and shoulder spray of frezias.

For travelling, the bride chose a navy pin stripe costume, with accessories to tone.
