Navy Depart nu n:, ;:s the result of a revelation of the faulty design and construction of new units, and particularly 12 IGOO-ton destroyers of the Anderson class. Five of these have been commissioned. They show insufficient stability under imino conditions. The changes made include rhe iratrnfer of Rear-Admiral Harold Bowen.
