PROSPECTS UNPROMISING
RUSSO-GERMAN TRADE TALKS ' [by CABLE —PRESS ASSN. —COPYRIGHT.] NEW YORK. October 14. The Moscow correspondent of the “New York Times,” Mr. G. E. R. Gedye says it is unofficially reported that the atmosphere for the Russian-German trade talks is not good. The Germans are becoming progressively more irritated over Russian reluctance to make concrete proposals, and the Russians are forming a poor opinion of the suitability of the. Germans to negotiate. Herr Schnurre seems to appreciate, above the other Germans, that there is no likelihood of a trade agreement which will help Germany much in the prosecution of the war.
