MANAWATU’S CHALLENGE OFF PALMERSTON N., September 6. The Manawatu Rugby Union does not intend to go ahead with its challenge for the Ranfurly Shield this season. The Otago Union offered September 24 as the date, but Manawatu had already arranged to play Hawke’s Bay on that date. WELLINGTON v. MARLBORO’ WELLINGTON, Sept. 6.
