CENSURING OF TAYLORVILLE ■ [PEB PBESS ASSOCIATION.] CHRISTCHURCH. September C. “Are they waiting for a full report from us? I would like the matter to be finalised,” said Mr. C. Sweeney after reading a newspaper report on a recent discussion by the Westland Football Association, to the management committee of the Canterbury Foothall Association this evening: — The chairman (Mr. J. G. Parry): It is no longer our business after it has been handed over to the parent body. The secretary (Mr. R. B. Bunt): We were only acting for the New Zealand Association, and consequently we made a report to it. Mr. H. W. Moore said that it appeared that the Westland Association was not familiar with the procedure in these affairs. It might be possible for more drastic action to be taken against the Taylorville Club, said Mr. Sweeney. Several members: Not now.
The chairman said that the question was not one for the Cantebury Association, but for the New Zealand Council. After Mr. Sweeney had commented that the report gave the impression that there had been laxity by the Canterbury Association, the matter lapsed. BRITISH SOCCER. LONDON, September 6.
