POLITICAL PARTIES BANNED. [BY CABLE—PRESS ASSN. —COPYRIGHT.] BUCHAREST. April 15. The Bucharest correspondent of the •Dailv Telegraph" states that drastic laws which, have been promulgated for the protection of the State, dissolve all political parties, and prohibit; the formation of new parties. A ban is placed on propaganda aimed at a change of Government, the redistribution of property, the formation of private political armies, and' the singing of political songs. The distribution of pamphlets and caricatures is also forbidden. Public servants and students are forbidden to participate in political demonstrations. IRON GUARDS ARRESTED. (Recd. April IS, 2.30 p-tn-) LONDON. April 17. The “Telegraph's” Vienna, correspondent says: The police, suddenly swooping on numerous cities and towns in Roumanila, arrested over 200 members of the Iron Guard, including the leader, Codreanu, after the discovery of a widespread plot to overthrow King Carol and assassinate the Ministers, iand establish a Fascist dictatorship. Many weapons were seized. The police found evidence of Iron Guard cells in several commercial undertakings, and also seized a. number of revolutionary manifestoes, including Codrdjanu’s circular to local leaders throughout Roumania. bitterly attacking the Government and the Premier, Miron Cristea. The circular ordered the Iron Guards to secure uniforms and weapons, in readiness to rajarch on Bucharest, modelled on Mussolini’s march on Rome.
