BALTIC DROMES
GERMAN DESIGNS SUSPECTED
[by CABLE PRESS ASSN. COPYRIGHT.]
LONDON, January 18
The "Daily Telegraph’s” diplomatic correspondent understands that discussion has been aroused in Copenhagen by Germany’s recent redisposition of military aerodromes and aircraft factories along the Baltic coastline, the sites chosen for strategic value, being at the remotest points from those countries from which air attacks might be expected. Fears are being expressed lest Germany in wartime might seize areas in Denmark suitable as air bases, on the ground of forestalling any other country which might wish to use Danish territory as a jumping-off place to attack Germany. Danish opinion is divided as to whether precautionary military measures should be taken.
