INFANTILE PARALYSIS
SYDNEY, January 19
Medical authorities report that infantile. paralysis is gaining ground in New South Wales. Fifty-nine cases have been notified since January 1, most being from the country. The number of cases prior to January was negligible.
EXPORTS TO NEW ZEALAND. SYDNEY, January 20.
It. was stated, on behalf of the manufacturers, that the Federal Government had not consulted them about the proposal of the New Zealand' Government to impose heavier tariff duties on a number of Australian im-
ports. Manufacturers exporting goods embraced in the Dominion’s tariff proposals said that they would be seriously a ffected.
