WOMAN KIDNAPPED

Mrs Alice Parsons, 38, wife of a wealthy stockfarm owner, and socially prominent, is believed to have been kidnapped from her Long Island estate. The police reported that a 2500dollar ransom request note was found. She was last seen yesterday midmorning, leaving home. Two men are reported to have engaged her in conversation at the gate, and induced her to drive off in an automobile.

The police have revealed an attempt to kidnap John Rockefeller Prentice, a grandson of the Rockefellers.

Two men abducted a young nurse a friend of Prentice, and compelled her to telephone to him, and make a rendezvous, at which, it is believed, an effort would be made to seize Prentice. He informed the police, but the plotters escaped.
