NICHOL DEFEATS De GANS

INVERCARGILL, August 10
In a return fifteen-round boxing contest to-night, between Claude Nicol (12.10), of Australia, and Roy De Gans (12.10), the American Negro, Nichol was awarded the decision on points- It was a poor fight, except for the last three rounds, which Were fought at a lively pace. EXHIBITION BY PLUTO. Cyril Pluto, the- Australian boxer, will give an exhibition at the Greymouth Town Hall, to-night, sparring with local amateurs, including Frank Bell, and Joe Cox. He will demonstrate famous punches, and the methods of many of the leading boxers of Australia. As Pluto is a first-class performer, and has won all his ten fights in New Zealand, his exhibition should, attract a large gathering of boxing enthusiasts.
