FIRES AT SCHOOL

INCENDIARISM SUSPECTED

CHRISTCHURCH. August 13. The second fire in live days broke out at Amberley House Giris* School, at (’>.3o this morning, and. this time, it is believed an incendiary has been at work. In the main dining room and in a small study near by. kerosene had been thrown lavishly on the woodwork. and a match applied. Luckily, the smoke was seen by one ci the employees, who gave the alarm, and was able, with the assistance of members of the house and teaching staff, to coniine the damage to a matter of a few pounds. BOX FACTORY DESTROYED. TAUMARUNUI. August 12. At five o'clock this morning a tire completely destroyed th* 1 Kings Box Company's butter box factory mar the railway yards in Taumarunui borough Th*- lire started through a blow-out in th* 1 furnace, the flames spreading throughout th*- building in a few minutes. Tim nigh!watchman was unable to cope with the outbreak, and he called <>n th*- brigade.
