WOMAN ATTACKED
INTRUDER IN BEDROOM. [per press association.] CHRISTCHURCH, December 26. Mrs M. Foster, of Armagh Street, is in hospital suffering from a severe cut in the right temple, stated to have been inflicted by an unknown assailant, who entered her bedroom at four a.m. yesterday. Her condition is not serious. Mrs Foster states that she has no idea for the reason of the attack. She had just returned from a Christmas Eve party at Spreydon, and had gone to bed, when struck. She did not see the intruder enter or leave the room. Her cries attracted attention, and the police were called. She was taken to hospital.
