[OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.] REEFTON, December 19. Mr and Mrs Bujst and family leave on Wednesday for a holiday tour in the north. The gold return for the month won by the prospectors in the Inangahua County under the Unemployment Board’s scheme totalled 330 z., the number of men employed being 117. The Reefton Trotting Club will hold its meeting in Greymouth on January 7, the Secretary having been advised that the Minister of Internal Affairs has granted the club permission to hold their meeting on that date. The teaching staff and senior scholars of the Reefton District High School gathered at the Social Hall last evening for the break-up social. Opportunity was taken to say farewell to Mr E. S. Clark, who is transferring to the North Island. Several speakers referred to the loss the school was sustained in the departure of Mr Clark. He was presented with a watch, inscribed, as a token of esteem. Mr Cla:lk suitably refilled. Dancing was indulged in and supper served.

On Thursday afternoon the Reefton Branch of the Women’s Institute will entertain a party of children at the Gymnasium Hall, and Father Christmas will be in attendance.
