NAZI SUPREMACY

ALL GERMANY COWED ORGY OF BRUTALITY [BY CABLE —PRESS ASSN.—-COPYRIGHT.] BERLIN, March 10. The Nazis have now seized power n such States as were not already

under their control. Thus Bavaria, Baden, Wurtemburg and Saxony, the four greatest States after Prussia have been dominated by a stroke of the pen. Only the control of the Reichwein* there is lacking to make Germany completely a Hitlerite State. By mid-night the Nazis were masters of Munich. Storm Troops occupied the Bavarian Parliament after resistance by the Bavarian police, who for long tried to prevent the hoisting of the Swastika. The excitement in the city abated at a late hour. Troops paraded the streets, followed by crowds. A great Nazi victory celebration was held in the Odeonsplatz. General Von Epp, new Bavarian Commissioner. declared that they had come to ensure the maintenance of law and order, and he asked for the people’s support. The scene was illuminated by searchlights and torches. Continual outrages by Nazis have caused the authorities to call a halt on irresponsible outbursts, and to restore normality, although it is doubtful when discipline can be re-imposed. To-day’s shootings and raidings in the State of Brunswick included the murder of a trades unionist whose premises were seized, and the murder of a publisher of a Socialist newspaper at Chemnitz.

While the police looked on, the Nazis at Chemnitz arrested judges and high officials. Nazis also insultingly harangued the Mayor of Coblenz. Nazis maltreated Madgeburg hotel guests and smashed the furniture Nazis also attacked the Peruvian Consul at Bremen. Nazis at Berlin broke into a trade union building and wrecked the offices.

Reports from everywhere have been received that the Nazis are torturing Communists, forcing them to swallow castor oil, and thrashing them with steel rods, aftei* which they are taken to the prison infirmaries. Herr Frick, Minister of the Interior, at a Nazi meeting, declared that the Communist Deputies will not be allowed to attend the Reichstag, but will be interned in concentration camps, where they will do more useful work than in Parliament.

The Nazis would resort to illegal means for recognition, only if legal failed. He added: “We demand full anschluss with Germany. We wish to become again Germany’s eastern borderland, perhaps with local autonomy. Austria can no longer stand alone with its foreign policy dictated by another nation. We must take French and Czccho-Slovakian annoyance for granted, but we intend to remove their influence.”

One Vienna newspaper declared that if six million Bavarian Catholics cannot prevail against the Nazis, what hope is there for a million Austrians.
