Zingara, to-day, was sentenced to death in the electric chair, for the murder of Mayor Cermak, by the Circuit Judge, Uly O. Thomson. After the sentence, Zingara shouted: “You give me electric chair. I’m no afraid that chair. You’re one of the capitalists. You is crook man too. Put me in electric chair. I’m no care.” Deputies rushed Zingara as he shrieked the last sentence. The spectators were held in the Courtroom until the prisoner was removed to the elevator carrying him to gaol. Under the Florida law, the execution date will be fixed by the Governor and officials of the State penitentiary.
