TRAMS COLLIDE

CHRISTCHURCH WOMAN INJURED [per press association.] CHRISTCHURCH, May 11. A tramcar was badly damaged, and a woman passenger injured, as the result of a smash that occurred in the city at 10 o’clock last night. The accident occurred as a resitlt of the last car to St. Alban’s Park severely bumping the last car to Cranford Street, in Colombo Street. The Cranford Street car was slowing down as the result of the bell having been rung. The St. Albans car coming up behind, fairly fast, drove straight into it. The impact threw all the passengers of the second car off their seats, and several women screamed. Mrs. H. George received minor head injuries. A mist prevailed at the time, making vision difficult.
