At the Supreme Court, David Bell, married, a farmer, for negligent driving, and causing the death of Vera Goodeve at Geraldine on April 4, was sentenced to four months’ imprisonment, and prohibited from driving for five years. Judge Adams said he was convinced that it was the paramount duty of the Court to protect fhe public from such a dreadful thing as had happened in the present case. There seemed no doubt that prisoner had been indulging in liquor to an extent that rendered him more 01* less incapable of exercising prompt judgment.
