Despite inclement weather, the Greymouth Technical High School Old Students’ Association’s social and dance at the School last evening proved a successful function. A good many old students from Greymouth and country districts, and members of the school staff, attended and all thoroughly enjoyed the re-union. Music for dancing was supplied by two old student orchestras, and several concert items were appreciated. Supper was provided by lady old students.. The Association’s secretary, Mr T. Jacobson, made an efficient master of ceremonies.

ITALIAN CLUB’S BALL. The spirit of Italy pervaded the Oddfellows’ Hall, Greymouth, last evening, when the Italian Club, “Cesare Battisti,” held its annual ball and social. The function was very successful, many parts of the West Coast being represented. Italian fare was the rule at supper-time, and provided a novelty for many of the New Zealanders present. The Italian Consular representative, Signor G. Perotti, reeurned thanks on behalf of the club to those who had attended and helped to make the gathering such a success. This was very gratifying to the President (Signor V. Maniago), the secretary (Signor A. Vigna) and the committee. Music for the dancing was provided by ..Williams’s orchestra, and Italian airs were played during the supper- interval, vocal accompaniment being provided enthusiastically by the countrymen of Signor Mussolini.
