VICTORIAN ELECTIONS
TWO MINISTERS DEFEATED. (By Cable—Press Assn.—Copyright.) MELBOURNE, December 2. The latest figures for the Victorian State elections show two Ministerial defeats. Hon. Frank Groves, the Minister of Railways, and also Hon. R. Cuthbertson, Honorary Minister, were both defeated by Labour nominees. The fate of six other seats remains in doubt until the last of the votes are counted.
The returns to hand indicate the probable state of parties in the new House will be as follows: — Labour .. .. .. 30 Nationalist .. .. 19 Country Party .. .. 9 Country Progressives .. 4 Liberals .. ... .. 2 Independents .. .. 1
