LATE MESSAGES
WELLINGTON, December 2. Arthur Cometti, an elderly man, a builder, of Petone, to-day claims in the Supreme Court £34 10/6 special and £450 general damages from Bernard Jackson Liez, of Petone, arid Madeline Liez, his wife, in respect of her separate estate. Plaintiff was injured by being knocked down by Liez’s car while Mrs Liez was driving, and negligence is alleged in the failure to keep a proper look-out or to exercise proper care in not being competent to drive, inasmuch as she did not possess a driver’s license. The defence denies negligence, and alleges contributory. negligence in riding on the wrong side of the road, failing to keep a proper look-out, and turning the bicycle into the side of the car.
