At the Pacific South-West Tenuis Tourney, Doeg defeated Farquharson 6/2, 6/1, 2/6, 10/8. Mrs Covell and Mrs Shepherd Barron defeated Mrs Henry and Miss Gladman 7/5, 6/2. Mrs Watson and Miss Nuthall defeated Misses Mary Greef and Josephine Cruickshank 6/4, 6/2. Mrs Shepherd Barron and Bell defeated Miss Edith Cross and Allison 6/4, 6/3; and also defeated Mrs Covell and Austin 6/4, 6/2. Miss Betty Nuthall and Farquharson defeated Miss Gladman and Van Ryn 6/4, 6/4. ATHLETICS NEW YORK, Sept. 27. The amateur Athletic Union approved the Australian invitation to send a sprinter, half-miler, miler and an all round man to Australia, for a six weeks’ tour this winter. The team will leave early in December. LEAGUE FOOTBALL. The following will represent Marist fourths in the curtain-raiser to-mor-row, Sunday:—Roberts, Moore, Quinn, Beban, Sequin, E.
