OPERA HOUSE TO-NIGHT
A double star programme will be screened at the Opera House to-night. The first feature will be “Yours to Command.” The best thing yet in auto racing. A romance whizzing along at ninety miles per hour —with a millionaire at the wheel —and Cupid in the back seat. The second will be Ken Maynard in “Code of the Scarlet.” Ken, whose daring stunts and spectacular riding have Avon him world renown and countless numbers of screen fans, is to be seen in the new setting, that of the Northwest of Canada. SUNDAY Sunday’s programme will be “Phyllis of the Follies,” starring Alice Day. This is heralded as one of the smartest stage-society pictures of the year. It is suposed to give a remarkable insight into that curio of curios, a Follies girl’s mind, said to be the most unaccountable, volatile and whimsical thing in the world. MAWHERA DANCE. The Mawhera Hockey Club Novelty Dance to-night promises to be a big attraction to all dancers. The lucky speed dance will be the novelty. Prizes awarded the winner; full orchestra. IKAMATUA CONCERT.
