MILLMAN KILLED
DILLMANSTOWN TRAGEDY The capsize of a waggon load of logs, about two miles from Watson’s sawmill, Dillmanstown, yesterday afternoon, had fatal results for Gilbert Louden, who was so severely crushed that his death was practically instantaneous. Four other men, who were on the logs with deceased when the capsize occurred, had narrow escapes from sharing his fate. The late Mr. Louden was well-known in the Kumara district, where he had been located nearly all his life. He was 65 years of age, and is survived by his widow; one daughter, Miss Nellie Louden; and four sons, Archibald, William, Victor, and Gilbert; also four sisters, Mesdames George and Pool, of Dillmanstown, Neville, of Kumara, and Cunningham of Christchurch. An inquest is being held at Kumara to-day. '
