GREEK ARMY

MUTINY PREPARATIONS.

(Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.)

ATHENS, September 11.

Greece is threatened with a serious mutiny, originated by the officers of the 344th. Regiment, all of whom have been arrested, and who will be severely punished. '

The Government’s severity, however, is powerless to chqck the movement, and a mutiny on a grand scale is being planned for the forth-com-ing manoeuvres. Defalcations, running into immense sums have been committed by officers having access to military funds. A number of arrests have been made.
