TEPID BATHS
, KING CARNIVAL SUGGESTED
A meeting of the Ladies’ Committee of 1 the Tepid Baths Campaign Fund was held at the Town Hall last evening. There were present, the Mayoress (Mrs. W. H. Parfitt), Mesdames Carr, J. D’Brien,; Shuttleworth', Seebeck, Misses M. Parfitt, M. McCullam, H. Kilgour, E. O’Rielly and L. McCullam. .
Misses M.cCullam and Kilgour were appointed joint honorary secretaries. In place of. the Popular Girl contest originally -proposed, it owas suggested that a Leap Year King Carnival be held, the boxing, football, swimming and tennis clubs to apr point candidates for the royal honours. This is to be submitted to the general committee for approval. Subject to the approval of the general committee a fancy dress masquerade ball is to be organised about the second week in May, and it is also proposed to hold a bazaar about the end of July.
