MARION SPRIxSG MEETING. (By "Arlington.") The first important race meeting of the now season will be the Marton fixture to-morrow. The acceptances are large, and it should be remembered that early spring form is always very hard to follow. Lis towel and Eirkie comprise the pick of the Trial Plate, while Ngakanui reads well if reserved for the Hack Steeplechase. ' Penury Rose was second to Omahu in the. Marton Handicap last year, and won the big event on the second day, fo with 7.2" to-morrow she must run well. Of the others, Sir Fanciful ran so well at the Grand National Meeting that he looks like a placv ppbter. " Marquetsur will find 9.9 an effective anchor.
