A GAOL BREAKER
PRISONER’S ESCAPE. -. WANGANUI, This Day. A prisoner named Oscar Strings bye, escaped from gaol scaling the wall this morning. A vigorous search was prosecuted but it was unsuccessful. Strahgebye was under remand on a. charge of breaking and entering and theft at Wanganui and was to appear at the Magistrate's Court to-rnorrow. He was arrested at Auckland where ho was recently sentenced to two years’ imprisonment and declared an habitual criminal for a similar offence.
