WESTPORT, This Day.
Mr. L. M. Isitt, M.P., had a magnificent reception at Westport last night. In two hours' criticism of Masseyism, he delivered the finest address heard here sence the time of Sir George Grey. On several occasions he. attempted to bring his speech to a close but was .prevented by insistent cries from all parts of the hall to go on. At the conclusion a vote of thanks to the speaker and confidence in the Liberal Party was carried by a large majority over an amendment moved by the Social Democrats restricting the vote to one of thanks only.
The meeting broke up with cheers for Sir Joseph Ward and (Mr. Isitt.
