POLLARD'S PICTURES

NOTABLE DISPLAY TO-NIGHT. "In the Bishop's Carriage," a 4000 ft study of the underworld, is the photoplay edition of Daniel Lohman's very successful drama that had such a long run in America. It will be screened this (Wednesday) and Thursday evenings at the Opera House, and on Friday and Saturday evenings another notable picture 5000 ft. in length, entitled "Seed of the Fathers," will be presented by arrangement with Messrs Hayward and Fuller. "In the Bishop's Carriage" introduces once more to the public that clever and favourite actress, Miss Mary Pickfqrd, who has been greatly missed in photoplay work. Miss Pickford enacts the part of "Nance Olden," who was the inmate of a charity house, but being falsely accused of theft and cruelly punished, escapes from the matron s cruel persecutions. Driven to house and consort with thieves, she is eventually rescued by "Obermuller," a theatrical manager, and in the end attains fame and fortune. Ihe piece starts at 9.15 n.m. and occupies the whole of the second part. The first part consists of "The Pathe Gazette, "British Industries," * the comic "Gaza's Tit Bits," the vitagraph comedy "An Error in Kidnapping, and a Very fine story photoplay, "The Madonna of the Storm." The full orchestra will render the music and the prices are as usual.
