ENSIGN FOR DOMINION’S DREAD NOUGHT.
(BY TELEGRAPH. PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.) TIMARU, Tills Day. A ladies’ committee of the Timaru branch of the Navy League purpose making a general appeal shortly to the women of New Zealand for shilling subscriptions to present a silk ensign and Union Jack to the battleship New Zealand when she arrives next year.
It is hoped that the fund will be truly representative of the whole Dominion.'
