ODDFELLOWSHIP.

LOYAL GREYMOUTH LODGE M.U

There was a very large attendance at the half yearly summoned meeting of the above;'Lodge held in the Oddfellows Hall last evening. The principal business was the reception of the balance sheet for tht past six months. This showed tin Lodge to have continued progressing and brought forth some very glowing remarks from members and visitors as tc its financial standing. The most pleasing item was the very low amount of. sick pay paid during the term—it being much lower than has been the case for many years past and has in spite of the fact that there has been a aeal of sickness in the district. The installation of newly elected officers was also proceeded with, Grand Master Bra. F. Lawn performing thj ceremony in a most impressive manner assisted by I'.P.G.M's. Bio. Warnes and Perkins. I' 4- request from •** Adjutant of the Salvation Army for the use of the Hall for the purpose of holding a social function in connection with their rescue work was' granted. After the mepting had closed, a smoke concert arranged by the Social Committee was held and a vcr>' enjoyable time was spent by members. The usual Loyal and Lodge toasts were duly honored and musical items and recitations by several members greatly assisted in making the function a success. The singing of Aukl Lan<: Sync brought a most successful moetinV to a close.
