PERSONAL NOTES.
Mr H. A. Gordon, of the State Mine Department, was an inward passenger by •die Mapourika. Mr Beale, representing Bannantyne and Co., Wellington, is among the visitors to town on business. Mr W, C. Gascoigne, of the State Mine Department, arrived in town per s.s. Mapourika this morning. Messrs Halinen and Andersen were presented with £5 each on their discharge from the Hokitika gaol. Mr C. K. Ward, dentist, will visit llunanga on Saturday next, and may be consulted at Mrs Williamson’s rooms, fiom 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Messrs Robert Wallace, of Stewart and Co., Wellington, and Churton, representing Sharland .and Co., arrived in Greymouth this morning. Mr mid Mrs F. Seabrook, who have been spending their honeymoon in the North and South Island, will return by the Christchurch coach this evening. Mr E. J. Smith, manager for C. Smith (Limited), who has been in Wellington selecting his summer stock, arrived home cverland from Nelson last evening. Mis J. Woods, of Dunedin, who has boon spending i holiday with her parents, Mr and Mrs C. Seabrook, returns op Wednesday next overland. Mr W. Taylor, representing Irvine and Co's wines, arrived by the Mapourika this morning. He left for Reefton, and returns on Saturday.
