HOCKEY MATCHES.
Y.M.B.C. Tho above match was played on Victoria Park on Saturday and resulted in a win for Y.M.B.C. by two goals to one Tho winners had considerably tho best of the game, especially in the first ,half. In the second spell, however, the game was of a more oven nature, and no score was registered till within ten minutes of time, when Felley, following up fast, beat the opposing goalkeeper and scored a goal for Hokitika. This put Y.M.B.C. on their mettle and almost immediately they scored two goals in rapid succession, Cambridge and Templeton scoring The winners played a very solid game, but missed many, opportunities, the pick of the team being Smith and rempleton. Cameron and Lyons were the best of the Hokitika side Mi C. Heaphy gave every satisfaction as refere°' KANIERI v. TRINITY.. . This match was played at Kanierx and resulted in a win for Kanieri by one goal to nil. The winners had a good deal the best of the game.Mr W.
