Not for a long time has wrestling r roused sueli intense excitement in the Town Hall as occurred during the last round of the match this evening lietween Al. Karaslck (13st. 21b) and Dene Detton (13st 51b). Karaslck had won a fall in the round before, and Itetton managed early In tlie last round to get him groggy. The excitement was terrific as Detton tried to gain the equalising fnll. For the last seven or eight minutes almost the entire nudiem-e seemed to Ik> on its feet or standing on chairs, spurring the men on., particularly Detton. But Karasick escaped being pinned, anil when tlie last gong went was deelured the winner. WIN FOR WALKER DEMETIIAL LOSES HARD BOUT Christchurch, Oct. 3. George Walker lteat Harry Demetral by two falls to one in a fierce sixrounds to-night In-fore one of the biggest wrestling crowds seen in Christchurch. Demetral secured a clear fall in tlie second round and Walker took Ills first fall in the fifth round. After a series of heavy throws in the sixth round Walker threw Demetral nine times with whirling throws, and slammed him on the mat with the greatest severity. Demetral was 'unable to continue when the referee stopped the limit, awarding Walker (lie full and the match.
