DISMAL FAILURE
PARADE OF UNEMPLOYED (Per Press Association) Dunedin, April 15. Dunedin’s “great aruiy of unemployed” failedf -to rally round the banner of their leaders vest' Iday and tlie first round of the battle to win tbo “practical'sympathy” of the city fathers was a dismal failure as a demonstration. The Fliders had carefully organised tl.vj demonstration, but the unemployed iailed them, and only about 100 were present. The' tinemp'oyiid apparently were not to he persuaded to provide a “humiliating- monster spectacle for the edification of the City Council.” It was an 1 ill-judged move and the unemployed themselve s withheld tlieir support.
