WILKINS EXPEDITION
RACK FROM ANTARCTICA WHAT IT ACHIEVED (Aust. and N.Z. Cable) (Received March 20. II a.m.) New York'. March 10. Sir Hubert Wilkins arrived today from the Antarctic. He stated Urn# h 0 would immediately begin a conference with engineers and techjiieans relative to his proposed Arctic submarine expedition from Spitz bergen to Alaska. . The expense oi the undertaking as well as the diffi cliltics of preparation were giving him most concern, but he beleived the necessary arrangements would be made. Speaking of his Antarctic work just ended ho said: ‘‘Afv exploration by air have slyown that the coastline evt the Antarctic continent has an aver nge of eight degrees further south tßnn has hitherto been believed. Wo have ehdpjMxl eight degrees from the edge of the continent.”
