MISHAP AT OROUA DOWNS
JUDER INJURED AT SPORTS During the pony leaping competition at the Oroua Downs sports yesterday, the mount ridden by G. Lampe, who is atached to Carmont’s stable at Foxton. struck the top of the last hurdle with its forefeet. The rider was thrown heavily, sliding along the ground a considerable distance on his neck which, it is understood, was severely injured, tphe victim of the accident was immediately sent to the Palmerston Hospital.
