The death is announced from London of the New Zealand comedian, John Kirby, who had been appearing in the musical play, “Silver Wings,” in which he played on March 15. He became suddenly ill the next day, and died of cerebral haemorrhage. Mr Kirby had been appearing in revue in London for the last four years.

His many friends will regret to learn of the passing of Mr Soren Jensen, second engineer at the freezing works, at the early age of 51 years. Mr Jensen, who suffered a stroke, was a very keen playing member of the Oroua Bowling Club. To his widow and son much sympathy will be extended.
