EXTENSION INTO APRIL 4Vr Prm, Assor-lar- - Waipukurau, March 19. At the meeting of the Chamber of Commerce last night the President, Mr A. C. Holms, referring to the daylight saving scheme, said the Chamber had gathered that there was no dissatisfaction over the half hour compromise and he instanced the present saeson of an Indian summer in support of an extension. The following resolution is to be forwarded to the Prime Minister: That this chamber suggests the desirability of providing in future years for extending the period during which daylight saving may be observed from the middle of March ' the third Sunday in April, pre- j ferably commencing earlier, say, the first Sunday in October.
