Archbishop Redwood celebrated his 80th birthday yesterday.. The Hon. D. H. Guthrie, Minister of Lands, is visiting Auckland. Three members of the teaching staff of the Central School, Palmerston. Mr.<3 McKendrick, Miss .1. Lawrence and Mr K. Mtinro, are at present in hospital. Rev. H. J. James, one time of San_ don, who has been at St. Paul's Methodist Church, Greymouth, for the past three years, has been appointed to the Riccai'ton circuit. Prior to leaving Greymouth he and. Mrs James received a number of presentations.
