Dalgety and Co. report having a fail- yarding of both sheep and cattle at; the Palmerston North Yards on Sept. 6, when most of the lines changed hands at satisfactory prices: Empty ewes 18s 6d, fat and forward ewes 30s sd, spring heifers £12, empty heifers £6 19s, 2J-year steers £10 17s 6d, yearling steers £7 ss, yearling heifers £5 18s.
