TO THE RESCUE PROMPTLY. Marseilles, May 4. The transport Arcadian was sunk at five in the afternoon. Patrol vessels vvern quickly on the scene, and began their rescues. Officers and men, with splendid gallantry, jumped into the water, picked up 236 in an hour, and tiansferred them to a warship.' ~
