Intending patrons of the Lyceum Theatre to-night would be we'll advised to get there early, as a packed house is anticipated, tho attraction being that world s wonder educational film, "Down the Crater of Vesuvius." It depicts, amongst many thrilling incidents, Mr Burlingham's sensational descent into the bowels of the most fiercely' active volcano. Full details of this marvel appeared in Saturday's -Star. To-night s programme also shows the second of the series of W. W. Jacobs' delightful comedies, "The Third String." The story tens how Ginger falls in love with Julia, the barmaid at the Jolly Pilots, and discovers that Julia's fad is a prize-fighter. Ginger decides to masquerade as the " Australian Killer." Bill Lumm. the " Wapping Basher," has vowed that if Julia will not walk out with him she shall not walk out with anyone else. Julia is delighted to meet a man able to put an end to Bill's tyranny, and consents to go out with Ginger. They meet Bill. To avoid trouble Ginger agrees to meet Bill in a boxing match.
