TO-DAY'S NEWS.

RUSSIA'S PEACE DEMANDS.

Doom of the Houses of Hapsburg and

Hohenzollern.

Antwerp Threatened Again.

Germany Running Short of Wheat.

Records of Fighting East and West.

To-day's news is interesting, and shows that Germany is bearing a terrific burden: She has the force of the three Allies against her in the west, she has to put up a strong defence at Przemysl (Austria) in order to safeguard Posen (East Prussia) ■ —and with it all the Fatherland is running short of wheat. The Austrians have been following Germany's bad example by using the white flag treacherously. Italy is again being put under pressure—this time by the mobilisation of 200,000 Austrians along her frontier. Italy will be found ready and willing if Austria wants a fight. Russia speaks out emphatically regarding peace terms : the utter destruction of militarism and the two forces behind the White Man's Burden in Europe. Antwerp, the capital of Belgium, is threatened by the most powerful siege guns in the world, with an effective range of 17 miles.
