BIG OOLLIERY PURCHASE. BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH COPYRIGHT. PEK, PRESS ASSOCIATION. (Received March 25, 9.4 a.m.) Sydney, March 25. It is reported that preparations are being made for opening up a large new colliery at Cessnock. The name of the party financing the scheme is not divulged, but it is believed to be a wealthy speculator who negotiated for the purchase of the same land five years ago. It will be the largest colliery in the Southern Hemisphere.
