BUNNYTHORPE.

,'OUE OWN CORRESPONDENT.! Weather dreadfully fickle, somewhat retarding haymaking. However, so far the crops saved have been heavy and in good order. There is considerably more to cut yet, many farmers waiting till the weather is more settled. The high winds are doing much damage to the fruit trees. Christmas was, as usual, celebrated in our places of worship. Ou Boxing Day picnics were the order of the day^ and there was quite an exodus from here to the Mauawatu gorge, In the evening a most enjoyable and successful social was held in our Public Hall by tho Wesleyan Church Choir. The funeral of the late Mr H. Derby took place yesterday afternoon at the Bunnythorpe cemetery. Tbe Rev. C. C. Harper officiated at the graveside. Many friends paid the last tribute of respect to the deceased gentleman.
